Run multiple businesses from a single bookkeeping account
Design studio. Newsletter. Consulting. Etsy shop. RevTrackr lets each one have its own books without spinning up four separate apps.
Modern self-employment is rarely one thing. A design business plus a newsletter plus consulting plus an Etsy shop. Each is a separate revenue source with separate expenses, separate clients, and sometimes separate legal entities — but they all roll up into the same tax return at the end of the year.
Generic accounting tools force you to pick one mental model: single business or multi-tenant. RevTrackr is built around the actual shape of a portfolio freelancer’s life.
One account, one business per workspace
Create as many businesses as you have. Each one is its own first-class workspace with:
- Its own transaction log
- Its own categories and budgets
- Its own dashboard and reports
- Its own tax estimate
- Its own team members and accountant access
Switching is instant
A dropdown at the top of the app switches the entire interface to that business’s books. No re-login, no separate URLs. The muscle memory of using one app stays intact.
Rolled-up tax estimate
Quarterly estimated tax is calculated at the personal level — you pay one combined check to the IRS, not one per business. RevTrackr sums net profit across all your businesses, applies your tax profile, and shows the bundled estimated tax owed. The individual business dashboards still show their own segment of it.
Allocating shared expenses
Some expenses serve more than one business — your laptop, your accounting software, your home office. RevTrackr lets you split a single transaction across multiple businesses with custom percentages, so the math comes out right without double-counting.
What “unlimited” means on Pro
The Free tier supports one business. The Pro plan supports unlimited businesses with unlimited transactions — designed exactly for the kind of person who picks up a new income stream every six months and shouldn’t have to pay a per-seat upgrade every time.
